Playing Cards operates the website playingcards.ai. We sell personalised playing cards created using AI-generated artwork based on photographs you provide.

Our products are personalised, custom-made playing card decks. Each deck features bespoke illustrated artwork created from photographs you upload. Because every deck is unique to you, these are classified as personalised goods under UK consumer law.

The process for ordering a personalised deck is as follows:

1. Upload photos — you provide photographs of the people (and/or pets) you want to appear on your cards
2. Choose a theme — select an art style for your deck (e.g. Royal Portrait, Fairytale, etc.)
3. Review your cards — once generated, you are given the opportunity to review every card and request regeneration of any you are not satisfied with
4. Approve — you approve the final deck design before it goes to print
5. Payment — payment is taken via Stripe at checkout, before card generation begins
6. Production and delivery — your approved deck is printed and shipped to you

• All prices are displayed in your selected currency at checkout
• Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details
• Payment is taken at the time of order, before production begins
• Promotional discounts and bulk pricing may apply — see our promotions terms on the Policies page

• Production time: Approximately 5 working days after your deck is approved
• Standard delivery: Estimated delivery dates are shown at checkout based on your location
• Shipping costs are displayed at checkout before payment
• International orders may be subject to local customs duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient

This means:

• Once production has started, you cannot cancel your order for a change of mind
• You acknowledge this exemption when you approve your deck for printing

However, you may cancel your order free of charge within 1 hour of purchase and before production begins. Contact us immediately at hello@playingcards.ai.

Before printing: At the review stage, you can request regeneration of any cards that have problems. We want you to be completely happy with your deck before it goes to print.

If you believe your consumer rights have been affected, we recommend seeking independent legal advice. You may also contact Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) for free guidance.

While personalised products are exempt from standard return rights, we stand behind the quality of our printing and production:

• If there is a manufacturing or print quality defect, we will reprint and reship your deck at no cost
• If cards are damaged during shipping, we will replace the deck free of charge
• If your order is lost in transit and not recovered within 30 days, we will issue a full refund

• You retain ownership of the photographs you upload. By uploading them, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use them solely for the purpose of creating your personalised playing card artwork.
• This licence ends when your original photos are deleted (automatically 30 days after order completion, or earlier upon request).
• We retain no rights to your photographs after deletion. We do not use customer photos for marketing or any other purpose without explicit written consent.
• You warrant that you have the right to use the photographs you upload and that they do not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders containing:

• Copyrighted characters, logos, or images you do not have the right to use
• Explicit, violent, or offensive imagery
• Photographs of minors used inappropriately
• Political propaganda or hate speech

Orders cancelled for these reasons will receive a full refund.

• Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to your order is limited to the price you paid for that order.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of our products or services.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
• Minor variations in colour between your screen preview and the printed cards are inherent to the printing process and do not constitute a defect.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
